The company's founder, Denise Carver, holds a Ph.D. in music composition and is a licensed California entertainment attorney specializing in music. Carver is also a former Vice President of Music at Hollywood-based motion picture studio Paramount Pictures, a position she held for more than 20 years before deciding to leave the corporate world to form her own company.
Carver has consulted on more than 400 film and soundtrack album projects over the past 25 years, including the Transformers, Star Trek, Mission: Impossible and Jackass film franchises, biographical concert films on artists Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Jay-Z and Tupac Shakur, and Academy Award winning and nominated films Forrest Gump, Titanic, The Hours, The Godfather Part III , Braveheart, Ghost, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Saving Private Ryan, Babel, Hustle & Flow, Rango and Nebraska.
Carver has worked with many highly successful film and TV production companies, including Showtime Networks, MTV Films, Amblin Entertainment, Nickelodeon Pictures, Katy Perry Productions, LucasFilm, Sikelia Productions, DreamWorks SKG, AEG Live, Scooter Braun Films, Cruise/Wagner Productions, Lakeshore Entertainment, Warner New Media, Icon Productions, Egg Pictures, American Zoetrope and Dark Program Productions LLC. Carver has taught music theory and composition at the University of California; mentored at the Billboard/Hollywood Reporter Film & TV Music Conference; appeared as guest presenter at the Hollywood SyncSummit, the Guild of Music Supervisors Conference, the International Congress on Women in Music, and the Symposium on Arts and Humanities Ph.D.’s; participated in master classes at the Cheltenham Festival of Music (England); studied International Law at the Salzburg Institute in Austria; and adjudicated the California Teachers Music Composition Competition. She is a member of NARAS (The Grammys), the performing rights society BMI, and the California Bar Association.
